Projects

Projects help you keep your creative work organized across all Magnific tools. Every time you create something — whether generating an image, editing a design, or creating a video — your work is automatically saved inside a Project. By default, all creations go to your Personal project.

Each project keeps all your related creations, uploads, and downloads together, so you can easily find, edit, and manage them over time.

If you have a Business or Enterprise plan, you can also share Projects with teammates, see everyone’s creations, and collaborate efficiently in one shared place.

Who can use Projects?

Projects are available for all paid subscribers.

Free users can view Projects and folders created while they were subscribed but can’t create new ones.

Where to find your Projects

You can access your Projects from:

When you open the dropdown at the top-left corner, you’ll see all your Projects listed.

You can search, pin your favorites for quick access, or create a new Project directly from there.

Creating a Project

  1. Click + New project from the Projects dropdown or the 'All projects' page

  2. A modal will appear asking you to name your Project

  3. Enter a name and click Create

Your new Project is ready to use and automatically includes a set of default folders.

Default folders

Projects make it simple to keep everything tidy:

Organizing your files

Inside any Project, you can:

Saving directly from tools

When you open a Magnific tool (like the Image Generator or Video Generator), you can select a specific folder from the Project dropdown within the tool's feed. Anything you create there is automatically saved in that folder.

This means you don't need to generate first and organize later — you can keep your workflow clean from the start.

Switching between Projects

Use the dropdown at the top of the sidebar to quickly switch between Projects. Pin your most-used Projects so they always appear first for easy access.

Working with individual files

For each file inside your Project, you can:

Moving assets between Projects

You can move or copy any asset (image, video, or folder) to another Project.

  1. Select the asset(s) you want to move.

  2. Open the Move to folder dialog

  3. Choose a different Project or folder from the dropdown

  4. Confirm

Sharing a Project

All projects are private by default. To give your team access to an asset created within a private project, you must first share the project with them. In contrast, any asset created within a shared project is automatically accessible to everyone on your team.

Sharing is available on Business and Enterprise plans only.

To share a Project with teammates:

  1. Open your Projects view

  2. Click the three dots (⋮) on a Project card

  3. Select Share

  4. Add teammates by email

When you share a Project, you assign a role:

RoleWhat they can do
EditorAdd, move, or delete assets. Create new folders inside the shared Project. Cannot delete the Project itself or change ownership.
ViewerView-only access. (Coming soon → not yet available)

Only full Projects can be shared — individual folders or files can't be shared separately in this version. Shared Projects appear under the Shared with me tab.

Collaboration features in shared Projects

Shared Projects give your team a central place to work together. Several collaboration features are available inside shared Projects:

Comments

Leave contextual feedback directly on images, video, or audio assets. Pin comments to a specific area on an image or a specific moment in a video or audio timeline. Comments support threaded replies, emoji reactions, and notifications.

Comments are available to all users. @Mentions are available for Business and Enterprise users in shared Projects only.

Naming Convention

Define how downloaded files are named so exports stay organized and consistent across your team. Create naming templates using dynamic values like project name, prompt, date, tool, and format. Set organization-level defaults or project-specific overrides.

Available on Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans.

Trash and recovery

Deleted items are sent to the Trash section inside each Project. They remain there for 30 days before being permanently deleted. You can restore or permanently remove them at any time.

In shared Projects, the Trash includes deleted items from all users with access.

Publishing (coming soon)

In upcoming updates, you'll be able to publish Projects, folders, or individual files with view-only public URLs. Anyone with the link will be able to see or download your work, but not edit it.

This feature is not yet available.
